A Scientist Can...in Rosario's class!

Our new unit helps us learn about some important women in Science by asking and answering questions about them.

We are studying Marie Curie's family, Maria Sibylla Merian's family, Mary Anning's family, Nashwa Eassa and Wang Zhenyi.

LET'S PRACTISE FOR OUR THEATRE PLAY!

We have finished our books about the 5 scientists.

Now we are practising (rehearsing) the theatre play of "A Scientist Can..." This play is about a family that lives in the Magdalena neighborhood and studies at CEIP Tenerías. Henry and Oliver, the two students, show their finished Literacy books to their family and decide what type of scientist they want to be as adults. As the boys talk about what they have learned with their parents, we see the scientist come alive...

Ahora estamos ensayando la obra del teatro "Un científico puede..." Esta obra se trata de una familia que vive en el barrio de la Magdalena y sus hijos estudian en el CEIP Tenerías. Henry y Oliver, los dos alumnos, muestran sus libros terminados de Literacy a su familia, y entre ellos colaboran para decidir que tipo de científico quieren ser de mayor. Mientras los niños hablan sobre lo que han aprendido con su familia, vemos como las científicas cogen vida para mostrarnos la importancia de sus descubrimientos y creencias en primera persona.

In this scene we are rehearsing with Nashwa Eassa from Sudan. She is visiting a class in her home country. The students are asking her questions with the teacher's help. 

En esta escena estamos ensayando con la científica Nashwa Eassa. Ella esta visitando una clase en su país natal. Con la ayuda de su maestro, las alumnas y alumnos están haciéndole preguntas.
